Anyclean Carpet Cleaning Hornchurch

Hornchurch Cleaning Services

This is a review of Anyclean Cleaning Services in Hornchurch.

How It Started

According to online information, the company was founded in 1998 by its original owners south of the river Thames. Their website (anyclean.co.uk) was registered in April 2000. It started as a small one-man-band domestic cleaning operation while slowly gathering pace. Having successfully operated for more than 23 years in all London postcodes the hard work has paid off for the owners and staff. Now the company has grown to become one of the leading local Hornchurch companies offering quite a few cleaning services.

As of August 2021, Havering residents in RM11 and neighbouring Emerson Park, Gidea Park and Upminster can enjoy domestic cleaning, carpet cleaning Hornchurch, end of tenancy cleans, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, office contract cleaning, builders and sparkle cleans and others. The pricing shown on their website is reasonable and not at all on the expensive side of the spectrum. Services can be booked at a short notice or well in advance.

Professional Accreditations

Looking at their website, I noticed a few accreditations other similar companies did not have i.e. ISO 9001 certification. I know this is an annual audit of their quality management systems which is quite strict. You can’t get ISO certification without being anything less than a reputable company operating fair and correct systems and processes. So, this is an unexpected plus I do not normally see in small cleaning businesses of this sort.

Apart from their ISO accreditation, Anyclean has been accredited by the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA), SafeContractor and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Online Reviews Rating

In today’s world of the internet, social media, online reviews, one cannot imagine a rogue/cowboy business performing poorly and staying in business. It is simply not possible anymore. When was the last time you bought something without any reviews or having poor 1-2 star reviews on Amazon? Exactly. You know what I am talking about.

While this star rating system started with restaurants on Yelp now everything and everyone is looking and leaving reviews. As of August 2021, Anyclean has a 4.7-star rating out of 287 reviews on Google, a 5-star rating on Facebook and a 4.5-star rating on Freeindex. Quite impressive and definitive evidence that Anyclean’s hard work pays off with many happy customers.

Social Media Presence

The company has been present on social media for quite some time. Anyclean’s Twitter page was created in 2009 and their Facebook page not long after. They are also present on Pinterest, LinkedIn and many others.

Sponsorship

Anyclean enjoys giving back to the local community. In the past, they have sponsored a couple of local Hornchurch kids football teams called EMH Falcons FC and Tigers JFC, as well as a Dagenham based kids football team called Dagenham United FC. Sport is great for the development of young bodies and minds hence the firm’s interest in sponsoring young football prodigies of local roots.

Disclaimer: I admit I haven’t yet used the company’s service in Hornchurch or anywhere else. However, I am planning on booking a carpet cleaner to come to treat my Persian rugs and expensive wool carpet in the very near future. From what I have seen this is a reputable business worthy of getting my money and my 5-star review (obviously subject to my happy smile being present on my face after their cleaners leave).

Clear Shine Essex

This is a window cleaning company that covers the Hornchurch area, as well as a few local nearby areas. Here is their website.

Looking at their website I can see that the firm is a member of a number of organisations – IOSH, MGWC (Master Guild of Window Cleaners, FWC (Federation of Window Cleaners) and FSB.

They offer residential and commercial work. I can’t help but notice the 100% satisfaction guarantee seal on their website. Can you really leave every customer feeling 100% happy? Guaranteed? I am itching to check.

There is a freephone contact number which is always handy even from a mobile. However I do not see a postal address on the contact page. Just the areas covered.

I notice a little detail – they have not secured the traffic between their website and the user’s browser with a SSL certificate (https protocol). Nowadays this is one of the first sign of validation. Guys, get this done, will ya.

Facebook

The firm has 2 reviews with a total score of 4.3. There are actually two 4 star reviews. How come the average total is 4.3 is beyond my comprehension. Facebook, do you need a calculator? 🙂 Anyways, the reviews are good and the clients have been happy with the window cleaning service rendered by the company.

Yell.com

No reviews.

Cylex

Again no reviews.

Yelp

No reviews. Are you kidding me!?!

Not sure what is going on but there are not many reviews for this firm around the web. I was not able to find any others during my basic search of page 1 and 2 of Google. Maybe there are some but hidden deep down in the Google loins.

Laura Ashleigh Cleaning Services

Here goes our first fact finding mission

In the spotlight today is a cleaning firm called Laura Ashleigh Cleaning Services. They have listed their business address in Hornchurch and therefore fulfil our criteria to get listed for our users.

A quick search on Google shows a number of listings around the cyberspace. I start with the business’ website.

On their About Us page, I found out that the owner and founder of the cleaning firm is called Laura Holmes. Laura offers cleaning services to private clients and businesses in the Hornchurch area and she has been in business since 2007. That makes is a 12-year-old business operation as of today. Pretty impressive, as many businesses fail to make it past the first 3 years of trading let alone breaking the 10-year mark.

I can see their domestic cleaning rates start from £8 per hour, which is unbelievably low, thus leading me to the conclusion the price on that page has not been recently updated. Laura, if you see this post, please update your About us page.

Recent reviews listed on the website are dated from 2016, again a sign the website has not been recently updated. While this lack of current updates is generally not a good sign, in the world of small family Mom & Pop owned businesses it is something acceptable. I would say the owner is busy providing clients with cleaning services and updating her website is not at the top of her to-do list. Same goes for the insurance policy cover certificate showing an expiry date in 2016.

Services Offered

The services offered on the website of Laura Ashleigh are: domestic cleaning, ironing, oven cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning and carpet cleaning.

Here are some of the top rated online review websites that have user reviews about Laura Ashleigh:

Yell.com

There are 2 reviews, 5 star each, dated 2015. The lack of recent reviews means there have been no recent review gathering campaigns by the business. Not necessarily a bad sign, although much reassuring would have been recently dated reviews. Onto the next one.

Facebook

Average score of 4.3 out of 6 reviews as of today. Latest post was from 18/03/2019. Not too shabby. I have seen a lot worse.

Freeindex.co.uk

The business is a member since 2015 although no reviews have been published yet.

Google

There are 3 five star reviews and the latest one is a 1 star review. Average score – 4 stars. I read through the review and the cleaning company owner’s response and noticed that the user was not impressed by the lack of response to an initial request rather the quality of the cleaning service provided.

First impressions count and getting no response to one’s request is never a good start. However, I believe there may have been a misunderstanding or a technical glitch that has led to that result. It’s a tough one to decide.
